City Power working on M1 outages

JOHANNESBURG - City Power is working to restore power to customers affected by the underground fire along the M1 near Smit Street, and the double-decker section near Braamfontein.

The electricity utility company is on site on Saturday, working to repair damaged infrastructure in the gutted tunnels.

Currently, the city doesn't have enough generators to power all the affected suburbs.

It's asking residents to be patient, as gets underway.
